WHO COLLABORATING CENTRE FOR CULTURE AND HEALTH (CCH)

The World Health Organization (WHO) has designated WCCEH at the University of Exeter a WHO Collaborating Centre for Culture and Health (CCH).

Our research activities across the medical humanities and social sciences provide interdisciplinary research support, training tools and technical guidance for policymakers across the WHO Europe Region.

The Collaborating Centre is committed to building internal and external partnerships with both academic and non-academic communities in order to create and evaluate culturally-sensitive health policies and their implementation at local, national and international levels.

The Collaborating Centre is co-directed by Associate Professor Felicity Thomas and Professor Mark Jackson.

The Centre is currently collaborating with the WHO on the Behavioural and Cultural Insights Hub – a website dedicated to bringing together cultural and behavioural information that relates to health and wellbeing. Find out more at the dedicated website: https://bci-hub.org/
