Final Funding Call from WCCEH

WCCEH has launched a final round of Transformative Research Awards, aimed at funding new and innovative engaged research for the academic year 2022/23.

The Centre is currently looking to fund at least three projects up to the value of £20,000 each for the upcoming academic year, with projects taking place between October 1st 2022 and July 31st 2023.

With support available from the Centre’s engaged research facilitators, the proposed projects must be cross-disciplinary, and, where appropriate, generate and show routes for collaborative, transdisciplinary engaged research partnerships with communities (e.g. practitioners, publics, charities, voluntary organisations, community groups, etc.) and other relevant parties with a shared aim of contributing towards the development of healthy publics.

Applicants must be affiliated with the university – although you do not need to have previously worked with the Centre, we would encourage including Centre members in your applications where appropriate. In addition to the funding, a small amount of support will be available for these projects through the Centre’s Research Support team, to help with practicalities and paperwork, and moreover, from the Centre’s Engaged Research Facilitators, to help with the engaged research aspects of the projects.

The decision making panel will be looking forward to seeing projects proposed that complement and extend the Centre’s current research themes:

The panel will also be looking for work that excels in, for example, the methods used or the communities conducting the research, forms or consolidates engaged research partnerships and/or develops international research links.

Full details of the TRA application process can be downloaded from this PDF here.

The deadline for the applications is 15th September 2022apply online here

Any questions in the first instances should be directed to wcceh-engage@exeter.ac.uk, and addressed to Pat or Lewis.

We look forward to seeing your exciting proposals!
